Here we have on offer for you - a very stylish 4 drawer chest arranged as 2 over 2 - originally dating from the early 1930s - the period of Art Deco.
No makers lable visable, but this is definitely a quality piece, it has lots of charm, and is very attractive - please look at all the pictures.
Drawer joints are dovetailed, and the bottom panels are solidly constructed - a beautifully made piece of furniture.
The metal handles are recessed - and chrome plated (this expensive process was introduced in the early 1930s - and was a symbol of modernity and class).
We have tried to show the general condition in the pictures (good condition).
Max Height = 72 cms (28.5 inches)
Width - top = 92 cms (36 inches)
Depth - top (front/back) = 49 cms (19 inches)
All drawers operate well.
As with most older items, there are a few light marks and chips here and there - a couple of blobs of paint on the rear panel (only) - but these should be considered as part of its character.
There is a naturally darker area in the centre of the top - which looks poor in the photographs - but hardly noticable reality.
Altogether a characterful piece of furniture.
Can be delivered to anywhere in mainland UK at extra cost - please enquire.
