Here we have a very nice vintage BSA bicycle - probably dating from the late 1930s. One dating give-away is the rear mudguard tip painted white - which was a wartime requirement for blackout use.
A brief bit of research suggests it is a 'Gentlemans Touring' model made in 1938 - but you will need to confirm this yourself.
Can be delivered to anywhere in mainland UK at extra cost - please enquire.
Complete with an original saddle, Rod brakes, Sturmey Archer type hub gears, and a period lightling set.
As you can see, it has sat around in someones shed for the last 30-odd years - now covered in cobwebs, and with a layer of light surface rust to areas.
However - it is perfectly solid - no bad corrosion. The chainguard has has a small repair in the distant past.
It could either be restored, or better still - oil it up - do the minimum work needed, and use as it is.
This item is in very reasonable condition for its age.
BSA stopped making bicycles in the 1950s - so this collectable item is quite rare.
