Here we have for sale - a very nice 3-tier-plus-drawer genuine Globe Wernicke barristers stacking shelving/bookcase/display unit in excellent condition.

A feature of note is the metal side strapping giving the sections extra strength.

Although antique, this item is very good for its age - probably made around 1900.

All the up-and-over doors work perfectly, and the storage drawer in the bottom slides in and out as if it were made yesterday. The glass in the doors is original too - having that lovely lightly dimpled effect not seen in more modern glass.

Timber is in good condition, probably mahogany, and the unit breaks-down into 5 pieces - so very easy to transport.

Its easy to see why these units are in such high demand today - the quality of workmanship is astounding.
